Southern blues artist Mack Evans new album, “Pawn Shop Guitar” follows his 2008 Americana chart-climbing debut, “Lowdown” with more of his deepest of the deep bass voice, Dobro expertise, and intensely original songs.

A true scholar of the blues, Evans writes with a nod to forebears like Muddy Waters and Howlin' Wolf, but with his own modern twist: rich in story and darkly humorous.

Born and raised in Florida, Evans now divides his time between writing, performing and recording with Storm of the Century Music producer Denny Leroux, whose thirty-year career performing with the likes of Bo Diddley and Wilson Pickett informs this collection.
